Self tanners are an excellent way to get bronzed without exposing yourself to the sun. For the most natural looking faux tan we recommend exfoliating and moisturizing the body before applying your self tanner.

How to use Self Tanners: Exfoliate, Moisturize and Apply
1. Exfoliate Exfoliate Exfoliate
Use an exfoliator in the shower before self tanning. Don’t overscrub, do pay extra attention to your knees, ankles, feet, elbows, and neck. This will help achieve a uniform appearance since self-tanners grab on to dry skin surface areas. Shower and completely dry off before applying
2. Moisturize
Apply a thin layer of lightweight moisturizer over the areas where you will be applying self-tanner. This will help the self-tanner glide on without clinging to dry patches. A little extra moisturizer over ankles, knees, and elbows can prevent those areas from looking patchy.
*Be aware that different parts of your body “pick up” self-tanner more easily than others. For example, some people find that their legs turn brown more easily than their arms or torso, while others find that their face and neck changes color fastest. Experience will help you determine which is true for you. Apply sparingly around your nose, eyes, ears, hairline, and lips.
3.Apply
Squeeze a manageable amount of self tanner in the palm of your hand and apply quickly. Apply to larger areas first while there is more tanner on your hand and then lightly sweep over thick areas of skin such as knees, elbows, feet. Wash your hands quickly after application!
